Bryan Miller turned his pain and sorrow from the tragic death of his brother into his life’s work fighting to prevent gun violence.
We hope you watch this video about Bryan Miller’s story, and why he believes so passionately in the need to support grassroots efforts to reduce gun violence in America.
On Nov. 22nd, 1994, FBI Agent Mike Miller was working in the Washington D.C. Police Headquarters on special assignment. On that tragic day, a lone gunman, bent on revenge, pulled out a high-capacity semi-automatic Mac-10 assault pistol, fired 40 rounds in a matter of seconds and shot up a room full of cops. Mike Miller, a second FBI agent and a D.C. police sergeant were killed. A third FBI agent and a civilian were grievously wounded before the gunman killed himself.
In addition to speaking about his brother’s shooting, Bryan also talks about healing and how his life changed so dramatically since the loss of his brother. “The best way I know to honor my brother is to dedicate my life to reducing gun violence”.
Bryan Miller, the Executive Director of Ceasefire NJ, an affiliate organization of the Freedom States Alliance, is one of our heroes.
